XY1011-C Dimethoxymethane (Methylal)

Overview

Dimethoxymethane, also known as Methylal,DMM,boiling point 42.3℃, flash point -17.8℃, auto-ignition temperature 237℃. It has excellent physical and chemical properties, good solubility, low boiling point, good water compatibility.Methylal also has good degreasing ability and volatility. As a detergent, it can replace F11, F113 and chlorinated solvents, reduce the emission of volatile organic compounds, so as air pollution.It is miscible with alcohol, ether, acetone, etc, and can dissolve resins and oils. Its dissolving ability is stronger than that of ether, acetone. Its azeotropic mixture with methanol can dissolve high-nitrogen nitrocellulose. Solubility in water: 32.3%(Wt) at 16℃；Water solubility in methylal:4.3%(Wt). Methylal is miscible with alcohol solvents.
